SUMMER ASSOCIATE Join forces with

practitioners analyze data and market trends to help
clients change—and gain a competitive advantage
in planning for tomorrow. Currently, local and regional
opportunities exist for advanced students to participate
inside project teams while offering a challenging and
rewarding education.
Working alongside local client engagements, selected
candidates will assume an integral role in various components
of marketing projects under the direct supervision of
practice management. Assignments contain a diverse scope
of objectives to help reach client-driven requirements,
apply coursework knowledge to solve business-planning
scenarios, and contribute to long-term results.
Candidates should have core experience with Microsoft
tools (e.g. MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint) and understand
basic economic principles with application to finance,
management, and statistics. Professional writing skills
and the ability to analyze critical situations are a
strong prerequisite. Additional experience with SAS,
SPSS, or other data modeling tools is beneficial, but
not required.
Responsibilities:
As a Summer Associate with the OMNI Consulting Group
practitioner team, the primary role of the internship
is to apply and expand existing skills and abilities
to develop and deliver high-quality work products within
a fast-paced business environment. Under the expert
guidance of seasoned professionals, Summer Associates
interface directly in consulting engagements and research
efforts while learning and conducting work plan tasks.
- Assist in the design and development of work breakdown
structures and project planning
- Actively contribute to delivery of functional work
products and client deliverables
- Supports the development of project proposals
- Support practice staff in constructing research
models and participate in real-world analysis of technology
experiments
- Learn quantitative methods and apply economic theory
to solve business equations
- Transfer knowledge and experience from the classroom
environment to tangible project results
Requirements:
- 2.8 GPA or higher
- Sophomore, Junior, or Senior standing; post-doctoral
applicants considered
- Strong oral and written communication skills (*Two
self-selected writing samples required with resume
submission)
- Demonstrate leadership and management abilities
- Capacity for handling multiple tasks
- 15 – 20 hours per week while enrolled; 40
hours or more during recess periods
Education: Currently enrolled in an accredited
Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Science, Master of Science,
or Ph.D. program; open to all majors but preference
is given for disciplines of Economics, Statistics, Managerial
Science, and Organizational Development.
